As the value in robot applications continues to be realized across industry segments, it is no surprise that 2016 was another record breaking year. 34,606 robots were ordered in North America, showing 10% growth over 2015. Roughly $1.9 billion in robot orders placed in 2016. 30,875 robots valued at $1.8 billion shipped in 2016. Assembly applications grew 61%.
